Graduate School Hosts an Online Meeting on the Work Plan during the Epidemic Prevention

Given the current situation, Graduate School, in accordance with the requirements and guidance of CUG, hosted an online meeting on work plan during the epidemic prevention in the morning of April 24. The meeting was presided over by Wang Lizhe, executive vice dean of Graduate school and attended by faculty and staff of Graduate School.

Wang Fu, director of Graduate Affairs Office of CUG (Wuhan), conveyed the guiding principles of the meeting and stressed the importance of work carried out in accordance with Notice on Further Strict Management on Nanwangshan Campus (No.4, 2022). He also gave an account of the overall situation of epidemic prevention and progress made at CUG. According to the Notice, faculty and staff, either on or off campus, are required to follow CUG prevention policies of COVID-19, notify the nucleic acid testing (NAT) results in time, and ready to cooperate with the community in epidemiological investigation. Meanwhile, Wang presented an update on the epidemic prevention and administration of Graduate School.

After that, faculty leaders had a discussion and pointed out the work focus on school admissions, professional training, degree programs and educational quality in the next three weeks, and they also came up with an overall online and offline work plan accordingly.

In the end, Mr. Wang Lizhe suggested that work of Graduate School be steadily advanced and an emergency response system be set up while COVID-19 protocols of CUG and the community should be followed. He also gave instructions on work priorities such as the final stage of graduate student enrollment and the upcoming admissions of doctoral candidates this year, the conduct of online classes on both campuses, anonymous reviews of dissertations and thesis proposal defence online, and the submission of materials for evaluation of degree-conferring entities.
