Before the lecture, Song was present in advance and had a simple talk with students about their biggest anxiety in life and study and challenges in communication.

Professor Song’s friendly exchange with students before the lecture.

In the lecture, Song provided a systematic explanation on the importance of communication to individuals and an in-depth analysis of relevant issues in communication with classmates, teachers and future leaders in workplaces. Meanwhile, she profoundly analyzed the reasons for poor communication with others as well as with oneself, and the reasons for the poor expression in CV. In particular, she illustrated the formula of “exchanges of information + interchange of emotions = perfect and effective communication”, and said that “it is not what you express, but what others receive that matters in communication” and asked everyone to socialize with others with a positive mindset, and continuously better their self-awareness.

The “Growth of Graduate Students” lecture series of School of Economics and Management will continue to be focused on the hot and thorny issues in students’ development, and experienced experts and professors will be invited to provide tangible and effective guidance for students.
